January/April 2024: Robin Wright is filming ‘Here’ with Tom Hanks

From the reunited director (Robert Zemeckis), writer (Eric Roth), and stars (Tom Hanks and Robin Wright) of ‘Forrest Gump’ (1994), ‘Here’ (2024) is an original film about multiple families and a special place they inhabit.

Production began by January 2023 in London at Pinewood Studios.

May 2, 2023: ‘Monica’ Screening & Wright to direct her second movie

Robin Wright attended the special screening of IFC film ‘Monica’ presented in Los Angeles and starring Patricia Clarkson.

Robin and Patricia worked together in ‘The Pledge’ (2001) and also ‘House of Cards’ (2017-2018).

Now Robin Wright is planning to direct Patricia Clarkson in her next directorial project ‘Bingo’ written by Annakate Chappell.

“I love directing,” Wright said. “I love seeing what actors can do. And pulling it out of them.”

‘Bingo’ is a comedy about the romantic relationship between two people with a considerable age difference.

Wright previously directed episodes of ‘House of Cards’, ‘Ozark’, and ‘Tell Me Lies’, as well as the 2021 feature ‘Land’, which she also starred in.

Robin Wright was awarded with the President’s Award, a lifetime achievement honor.

She received a Crystal Globe which is the main award at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

This festival is the largest film festival in the Czech Republic.
