He was Robin Wright’s official boyfriend at the time she celebrated the launch of the NBC soap opera ‘Santa Barbara’ in July 1984, accompanying her to the show’s premiere party in Los Angeles.

DANE WITHERSPOON (1984-1988) | First husband

On soap opera ‘Santa Barbara’, Robin Wright (Kelly Capwell) and Dane Witherspoon (Joe Perkins) were on-screen lovers for only 3 months because he was fired and replaced. However, in real life, they were a couple for 4 years.

Robin and Dane were together from 1984 to 1988. In late 1987, they got married, but their marriage only lasted 6 months.

Sadly, Dane Witherspoon passed away on March 29, 2014.
