January 29, 2017: Eighth SAG nomination for Robin Wright

The 23rd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were presented on January 29, 2017. The nominees were announced on December 14, 2016.

After being nominated for the movies ‘Forrest Gump’ and ‘She’s so lovely’, the HBO miniseries ‘Empire Falls’, and Netflix show ‘House of Cards’ S2-S3, this year Robin Wright received one more nomination.

It was in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for ‘House of Cards’ S4.

The nominees were Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Thandie Newton (Westworld), Winona Ryder (Stranger Things), Robin Wright (House of Cards S4) and Claire Foy who won the award for ‘The Crown’.

Unfortunately, Robin Wright didn’t attend the ceremony.

July 13, 2017: Sixth and Seventh Primetime Emmy Nominations for Robin Wright

Robin Wright earned her fifth consecutive Emmy nomination for Best Drama Actress for her iconic role as Claire Underwood in Netflix’s ‘House of Cards’ season 5.

Wright was also nominated as a producer on ‘House of Cards’ in Best Drama Series, with this being her second consecutive nomination there. This puts her overall total at seven nominations.

In the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in A Drama Series these were the nominees: Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder), Claire Foy (The Crown), Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), Keri Russell (The Americans), Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld) & Robin Wright (House of Cards).
