Frances Fisher as Robin Wright’s mother
Francis Fisher filmed some scenes as Robin Wright’s mother in this movie. But in the final cut all her scenes were excised. For this reason, she doesn’t appear in the final film.
The character was named Betsy and she was described as Robin’s eccentric, outgoing mother who appears to be in her mid-60s, but we’ll never know for sure. Recently dumped by her much younger lover, Betsy urges Robin to make decisions on her future because there are no roles for an actress of a certain age.
