Robin Wright received her sixth Lead Actress in a Drama Series Emmy nomination in a row for playing President Claire Underwood on Netflix’s political thriller ‘House of Cards’ final season 6.
Robin has been nominated for the Emmy every season of the show. She won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in 2013 for the first season. Also, she has 2 Emmy nominations as executive producer for Best Drama Series.

September/October 2019: Robin Wright is filming ‘Land’, her feature directorial debut
Robin Wright is filming in Calgary, Alberta her directorial debut ‘Land’. She also plays the main character.
The shooting of ‘Land’ began in September 4 and ended in October 31, 2019.
Wright directed 10 episodes of ‘House of Cards’ (including the 2018 series finale) and also the short film ‘The Dark of Night’, but this marks her first time behind the camera on a feature.
The film is written by Jesse Chatham and Erin Dignam. It also stars Demián Bichir and Kim Dickens.
Focus Features will distribute domestically, and Universal Pictures International will handle foreign distribution.
The picture centers around Robin Wright as Edee, a cosmopolitan lawyer consumed by grief. After enduring a personal tragedy, Edee feels her only escape is to disappear from her life and live completely apart from the rest of humanity. As she learns to survive in a harsh environment, she finds the woman in herself that she felt had long since died.
Robin Wright said: “Land is a story of personal transformation out of the most tragic event possible for any of us. I hope that experiencing Edee’s journey toward healing inspires others.”
