August 23, 2001: Edinburgh Film Festival

Robin Wright and her husband Sean Penn were at the festival to present their new film ‘The Pledge’.

The movie is directed by Sean Penn and stars Jack Nicholson and Robin Wright.

They were in Edinburgh with their children, Dylan and Hopper, after holidaying in Scotland.

Robin Wright said she wanted their children to experience other cultures and not live a protected and “saccharin” life. “I don’t think most Americans know what a revolution is. Looking at our kids growing up, that’s the one area where we’re going to be very strict with them,” she said.
