March 8, 1998: Second SAG nomination for Robin Wright

After being nominated in 1995 for ‘Forrest Gump’, this year Robin Wright was nominated in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for She’s so lovely’.

The other nominees were Helena Bonham Carter (The Wings of the Dove), Judi Dench (Mrs Brown), Pam Grier (Jackie Brown), Kate Winslet (Titanic) and Helen Hunt who won the award for ‘As Good as It Gets’.

Unfortunately, Robin Wright didn’t attend the 4th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

March 21, 1998: First Independent Spirit Nomination for Robin Wright

The 13th Independent Spirit Awards, honoring the best in independent filmmaking for 1997, were announced on March 21, 1998.

Robin Wright received her first nomination as Best Female Lead for her role of Hedda in the movie ‘Loved’.

The other nominees were Stacy Edwards (In the Company of Men), Alison Folland (All Over Me) Lisa Harrow (Sunday) and Julie Christie who won the award for ‘Afterglow’.

Robin Wright attended the ceremony with her father Fred Wright and her husband Sean Penn.
