Robin Wright directing ‘The Dark of Night’

Robin Wright makes her short feature directing debut with “The Dark of Night”,  a noir thriller starring Leslie Bibb, Sam Rockwell, Callie Thorne, Michael Godere and Nini Le Huynh.

“The Dark of Night”, written by Denise Meyers, is a short screenplay about an unemployed insurance adjuster who finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Robin and the crew from ‘House of Cards’ were this weekend on Baltimore filming this short movie.

PLOT: Madeline is on her way to Chicago for a job interview in 1930 when a driving storm forces her to take cover at a diner in the middle of nowhere.  Bernice, the waitress, tells her the place is closed, but Douglas, a greasy drifter, tells her to stay.  Madeline decides to wait out the storm with a cup of coffee, but when tension between Bernice and Douglas suddenly erupts in violence and Douglas locks both women in the diner, Madeline turns the tables on both Douglas and Bernice with deadly consequences.
