This is the last season of creator, executive producer and showrunner Beau Willimon. He announced that he would not be returning as showrunner for House of Cards fifth season.

Robin Wright as Director & Executive Producer

In addition to her starring role on ‘House of Cards’, Robin Wright had her hands full behind the scenes for the fourth season of this political drama.

This is the first season of Robin Wright as executive producer of ‘House of Cards’.

Also, this season 4, she directed four of the season’s 13 episodes. They are Chapter 42 (Season 4 Episode 3), Chapter 43 (Season 4 Episode 4), Chapter 48 (Season 4 Episode 9) and Chapter 49 (Season 4 Episode 10).

Prior to this, she directed one episode in season 2 (her directorial debut) and 2 episodes in season 3.
